Chairman Reeve: Ice Cream this Friday

PPT Chandler: We will be appointing next year’s chairs in the next session.

SI Blitz Funding Bill of Spring 2026 is brought up.

VP Zoboroski: We will need volunteers for that. It’ll be on May 2nd in Glaske. We need “two young men” to carry drinks from ASC to Glaske at 10AM. If you’re going to the first session, please come early, and if you’re going to the later session, please stay late so we can help set-up and tear-down.

The bill is passed.

Rugby Nationals Sponsorship Bill of Spring 2026 is brought up.

Chairman Mascorro: How much did we give y’all last year?

Chairwoman Riccio: The same amount. 

Senator Pekar: Will rugby be able to “advertise” Senate or anything?

Chairwoman Riccio: We can thank Senate when we post our thank you to our sponsors.

PPT Chandler: What is our current budget?

VP Zoboroski: We have more than enough to pay for this. 

Senator Holst: Does any portion of this come out of the students who are going?

Chairwoman Riccio: No. 

PPT Chandler: We brought down the Intersoc bill by 60%, I say we do the same thing, so that we only give $800. Then you do the rest of the fundraising.

Chairwoman Riccio: We just found out five days ago. We don’t have enough time to really organize a fundraising event.

Chairman Mascorro: Also, for the block party, they only had to buy ground beef and cheese. This is a lot more logistically dense than that. 

Chairwoman Riccio: Also we are the only team that goes and competes on a national level.

Senator Farley: I don't really see why we can’t give them the money. We have more than enough room to sponsor them. But if they lose, then they will get publicly shamed in chapel or whatever, but yeah. 

The bill passes.

Announcements:

VP Zoboroski: We have the send-off dinner tonight at the Butcher Shop at 6:00. 

Chairwoman Riccio: The rugby games will be livestreamed, and we will be posting that information on our instagram. 

Senator Farley: We can probably also repost that on the Senate instagram so that we show our support.
