Relating to the funding of the International Student Club

Be it enacted by the LeTourneau University Student Senate.

Short Title

Section A.

This act may be referred to as the "Lunar New Year Funding Act of Spring 2022”

Appropriations

Section B.

The International Student Club will be allocated six hundred one dollars and seven cents ($601.07) from the Senate General Fund.

Effective Date

Section C.

This act shall become effective upon passage.

Explanations and Reasoning

Section D.

The Lunar New Year holiday exists. The LeTourneau International Student Club along with the Office of Global Initiatives would like to hold a celebration of the event involving food and decorations for the student body. This bill is being written 31 minutes into a session because of the immediate request for funds with recognition that separate club funding will take place later.
