Swing dance emergency fund of spring 2023

Relating to the request made by the Swing Dance Club for emergency funds.

Be it enacted by the LeTourneau University Student Senate

Short Title

Section A.

This act may be referred to as the "Swing Dance Emergency Fund of Spring 2023."  

Appropriations

Section B.

1.    A total of one-hundred ($100.00) will be given to the Swing Dance Club to help cover the total cost of their swing dance planned for February 3rd, 2023.  

Effective Date

Section C.

This act shall become effective upon passage.

Explanations and Reasoning

Section D.

This amount will fill in the missing amount needed to put on the event the club has planned in the Belcher Center for February 3rd. They are using a matching system to have this event which had money requested last semester rolled over. It is mostly going to be used to buy the last things of food and the dance floor, as they have already paid to use the Belcher Center and the band through the prior funds. This request is separate from the money requested for this semester’s club funding.
