Chairman Crowder: Student Life, Saga is looking into supply chain issues. There has been a sign posted discussing the shortage. The mask situation, it will remain for the rest of the semester, but we will make sure it doesn’t exist next semester. The nurses’ printer. They have one. We may drop the issue. There will be an ice cream run today.

VP Avent: They have not ordered them yet, we will get them stamped. We will get them to you.

Senator Bright: Is this something that would be helpful if it was assigned to someone who had more time available?

VP Avent: Yes, but I don’t know that anyone has time available.

Senator Eaton: I motion to refer to student life.

Chairman Edwards: I motion to bring Election Cleanup Act of Fall 2021 bill to the floor.

VP Avent: It is difficult to amend the constitution.

Senator Bright: Last week you mentioned a run-off election. Who decides if this takes place?

VP Avent: Should it say a run off must be conducted?

Chairman Willis: It is obvious that it would be GoPro’s role to decide.

Sgt. Edwards: It could say the GoPro’s office? I move to friendly amend that.

Senator Berry: I feel like even just leaving the option could lead to a conflict of interest. We make it a guaranteed run off or not.

Senator Drebot: We must remain objective in all matters.

Senator Berry: It does not give criteria to conduct or not conduct. We need a procedure.

PPT Moyes: To explain, it is rank choice voting. You would have the run off in this situation. I would recommend that we reword it to say at the discretion of the candidates .

Senator Berry: We should add for the choice of the second place candidates.

VP Avent: You need to amend it.

PPT Moyes: I motion to amend this bill to say a run off may be conducted according to section I as requested by the second place candidates.

Senator Branch: Okay so, here is the things, our RA said that y’all get me a TV and so we did this.

Senator Berry: We have floor funds, but they won’t cover the whole cost. I’m assuming they don’t want to spend it all on this.

Senator Oden: Our floor funds are being used for shirts and events.

Senator Rubingh: Have you talked to your RD about this?

Senator Berry: I have not.

Senator Branch: Our RA said he would speak to the RD about this

Senator Rubingh: figure out how much your building will contribute before.

Chairman Allen: Yes, in the interest of floor funds funding this, I would recommend getting some info. I think we should table this bill.

Senator Eaton: It is worth noting that it will not come up until next semester

Senator Oden: The main reasoning is for T3, our lounge is lacking. Many people have not been using it and its been closed. If we get things for people to do they will come

Senator Hofer: Floor culture is important, I strongly believe we need to table it.

Senator Fuentes: We have talked to both I believe.

Chairman crowder: They are willing to use their floor funds.

Senator Bright: This is for the first floor but for all residents.

Chairman Willis: I motion to amend and take the first sentence from section D.

Chairman Allen: Where would this be located?

Senator Rubingh: You spoke to your RD and RA, if that is the case, is $200 the total?

Chairman Crowder: Last year we were able to use floor funds to get a foosball table, with DI the TV would help us but it could help the whole hall to do movie nights.

Senator Vincy: Will we have to fund the WII system?

Chairman crowder: No

Chairman Allen: Floor funds have restrictions, just a general note, when I lived in Tyler we had limits on what you could buy.

Senator Hill: Did they get money from TOCOCS?

Chairman Crowder: That is irrelevant, we did get floor funds, I do not know where they went. They go all hall.
