PPT Murphy: Beard and Gonzales have been removed from senate. They have missed three sessions. They have been contacted but have not replied.

Committee Reports

Senator Welch: For elections, we are having our meeting on Friday at 5:30, all applications are due Friday at noon. Interviews are being scheduled.

Senator Gowing: For constitution, we are having our first meeting. We will lay done ground rules, I will contact Welch to talk about election stuff that we will be working on.

Senator Aschoff: Budgets are due this Friday. We are meeting this weekend to go over them.

Senator LaQuey: Student life has met, and we went over our projects. Senate ice cream is this Friday and career services are coming out and we are extending the time.

VP Reid: Point on information, there was debate on changing the time. It is it officially changed? What is the intention?

Senator LaQuey: The intention was to announce it this week and extend the time, next week will be inviting people, but we have already invited people.


Special Business

Swearing in Senator Gonzalez.

PPT Murphy: I am appointing Gonzalez to the PR&R committee.

Senator Anderson: I believe the end of that sentence should say “of senate”.

VP Reid: It is used for all for all other offices, so it is left blank on purpose.

Dr. Jim Taylor came to speak about his testimony and fine arts at LeTourneau. He shared about the importance of fine arts. He shared about his upcoming music missionary trip to Kiev. He shared about his trip to Carnegie Hall with the LeTourneau choir. He asked why the campus bell is off by two minutes. He concluded his presentation with a devotional on self-deprivation.

Senator LaQuey: Senate ice cream is this Friday.

VP Reid: The junior and senior trip is coming up.

President Patterson: it is the 28th and the 29th. There are 65 people signed up.

VP Reid: There are 35 spots left.
